Created with children and families in mind
Our Lady of Fatima asked us to pray the Rosary every day. This book is designed to help families like yours pray the Rosary every day.
En misión de amor is not a mere translation of the English edition. It is careful work, entrusted to Lidia Ruiz Buckenmeyer, who rendered it into traditional, reverent Spanish, worthy of the Holy Rosary and of the families who will pray it.
Every choice of language served the same end: that Spanish-speaking children and families receive the same beauty and the same teaching as those using the English edition, in words that honor the dignity of each person as a unique and unrepeatable gift of God. The scripture texts are drawn from the Nueva Biblia de Jerusalén (not translated from English).
Our desire is to place this book into the hands of the Hispanic community, so that, under the tender guidance of Mary, more families may enter fully into their mission: to love as Jesus loves and to share His love with the world.

What people are saying

“On a Mission to Love builds on Debbie Staresinic’s previous Theology of the Body work by offering Rosary reflections tailored specifically to children. This is a beautiful resource for enhancing devotion and spiritual closeness to our Blessed Mother in Catholic families and Catholic schools alike. I pray that it is well-received by the faithful everywhere.”

“Devotion to the Blessed Mother is at the heart of our Catholic faith and the Rosary is the beautiful gift that allows us to remain close to her as we seek her intercession, protection, and love. I recommend this book as a resource for those seeking to learn how to pray the rosary as well as for others who may have fallen out of this important practice in our lives of faith. It is my confident hope that it will enliven the prayer of all who seek its aid in drawing closer to our Blessed Mother, whose abundant love is the source of countless graces in our lives.”

“On a Mission to Love helps families with the crucial task of praying together, particularly by teaching children how to understand and pray the mysteries of the Rosary. I am happy to endorse it and I hope it enriches the life of many families.”

“These Rosary meditations provide every Catholic family with a pathway to pray the Holy Rosary together and so draw closer to Jesus Christ through our Blessed Mother Mary. The meditations also will help children of all ages to come to appreciate the great gift of the Holy Rosary.”

“The rosary meditations in On a Mission to Love will help many, especially children, to apply the mysteries of the rosary to daily life. I am happy to offer my endorsement for this beautiful book in hope that it will serve as fruitful aid to prayer for individuals, families, as well as Catholic parish and school communities.
Our Blessed Mother is a sure and certain companion, drawing us closer to Jesus, and showing us the way to heaven. Thank you for this beautiful book.”

“Our Lady seems to have a preference for children, as her apparitions at Fatima make clear to the three children of that land, and in fact to all of us. When she comes, she pleads with us to repent, to do penance and to pray the Rosary. This beautiful collection of meditations can help young people get into a wonderful habit right from the beginning of their walk with Jesus.”

“Even before our first child was born a wise priest convicted us to incorporate formal prayer time into our daily family life. Twenty years later, Melanie and I are so grateful we have had the family Rosary as a daily norm all these years. On a Mission to Love: Rosary Meditations for Children and Families is our family’s new favorite Rosary reader! Debbie has deftly integrated three of Pope St. John Paul II’s loves – the family, the Rosary, and Theology of the Body – into an easy to use meditation guide that will introduce or elevate family prayer in your home. As a full-time TOB and family evangelist, I am deeply impressed by the accessible, age-appropriate TOB principles naturally incorporated within the meditations. This will not only help us say the Rosary, but to truly pray the mysteries together as a family. What a gift!”

“On a Mission to Love is an incredible gift for families who are trying to teach their children the beauty of the rosary. The simple meditations and lovely illustrations for each decade help to painlessly take the distracted child (or parent) to a real place of mediation on the rosary’s contents. It offers a beautiful path to come to know Christ, his mother, and our relationship to them, in grace filled and engaging terms.”
